Playing with Rumi

Day 29…

Rumi said

Today, like every other day, we wake up empty
and frightened. Don’t open the door to study
and begin reading. Take down a musical instrument.

Let the beauty we love be what we do.
There are a hundred ways to kneel and kiss the ground.

Enough studying and reading.  After a week filled with fine tuning where I am and what I’m doing, I’m letting go.  There is no list today, no classes to attend or teach.  I’m not even sure I’ll write, even though those are all activities I truly love doing.  Yikes.

Today I’m filling myself with music, beauty, other ways to kneel and kiss the ground.
