Life in Balance

Day 147…

I woke thinking of the yin yang image…as through my bedroom window the darkness was sliding into day.  Dark light dark light dark light…

Later I reconnected with the Leonard Cohen song, “Anthem.”  It was just yesterday that a writing buddy and I had written on how love comes through you.  We had both taken the path of letting it out.  Cohen song reminds me of how it gets in.

I write of words and their power, then spend the rest of the day encountering intentions and commitments  I’ve set in motion with my words.

Everything’s connected, within and without.  All this mental clarification…Is that why I’m feeling the need to do a bit of house cleaning?

Force is the same throughout and the whole is in every part of it. Force is a spiritual power, an invisible energy which is imparted by violence from without to all bodies out of their natural balance.

-Leonardo daVinci

A balance, an ennobling interchange of action from without and from within; The excellence, pure function, and best power both of the object seen, and eye that sees.

-Wordsworth,William

  1. and within minutes of posting today’s blog the following quote appears on my FB homepage…

A human being is a part of the whole, called by us “Universe,” a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest—a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. The striving to free oneself from this delusion is the one issue of true religion. Not to nourish it but to try to overcome it is the way to reach the attainable measure of piece of mind. Albert Einstein
