Spirit Practice

Day 196…

Ah…no classrooms till Tuesday.  I was beginning to suffocate.  Need fresh air.  Spirit.  Breath.

I don’t want to think about structure or effective lessons or management skills.   I want to feel joy, wonder, life.

A Rachel Carson quote inspires a practice of mine…• If a child is to keep alive his (her) inborn sense of wonder, he (she) needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him (her) the joy, excitement and mystery of the world we live in…

A partner is fun to share this with, although I know how to be both child and adult when necessary, continuing to rediscover the joy, excitement and mystery of the world…

Writing practice:  Rediscovering joy
