Focusing

Day 215…

We live in interesting times.  The chaotic changes in the human world and the natural world offer much distraction.  So yesterday I walked and walked and walked.  A  journey around three schools, two parks and a library…For nearly two hours.  The surging early spring energy realigned.

Afterwards I was able to tend to several nagging errands, facilitate an engaging activity for a class of teachers after their first day of testing, and listen to Tim O’Brien (The Things They Carried) read from his book and tell of his experience as a writer and participant in the Vietnam War.

It was a very good day.

The steady rhythm of my walk focused me on the path ahead.

  1. People walking is exactly what inspired my 365 days of exercise challenge. I think that’s so awesome

Sometimes it’s so refreshing (and essential) to take time out to refocus. It really helps clear the heart and mind.
