Day 248…
So my Sunday was a lot like Saturday. Grading projects, working on an Artbreak display, drinking lots more water and reading my book. And last night I lay in bed full of satsifying experience. This morning I’m ready to begin again.
I like this balance. Staying in the present, tending to what’s in front of me. I’m not dwelling on past regrets or future concerns. (Except the occasional distraction with this kidney stone thing)
This week is Artbreak. Five days of back to back sessions with third graders from three school districts followed by a weekend free to the public. This will be a good week for staying present.
Nothing is worth more than this day. ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
The ability to be in the present moment is a major component of mental wellness. ~Abraham Maslow
Children have neither past nor future; they enjoy the present, which very few of us do. ~Jean de la Bruyere
If you have one eye on yesterday, and one eye on tomorrow, you’re going to be cockeyed today. ~Author Unknown
