Endless Summer

Day 328…

The relentless heat.  A mere tease of rain last night.  When will it let up?

Slow down, Laura.   Listen to your body.   Breathe.  Don’t push yourself.  Another T’ai Chi class this morning and getting together with Sharon to discuss the future plan of a September retreat are priorities.  Address the final touches to the nekkid picture, then deliver it to East Bank Theater.  Drink lots of water.  Read your book.

Deep summer is when laziness finds respectability.  ~Sam Keen

Summer has set in with its usual severity.  ~Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.
John Lubbock
